BAY BRIDGE NOW CLOSED!
The Bay Bridge — western and eastern spans — is scheduled to close tonight at 8pm Wednesday, August 28th, and reopen to traffic at 5am, Tuesday, September 3rd.
Bay Area Bridges
The San Mateo-Hayward, Richmond-San Rafael, Golden Gate, and Dumbarton Bridges will all be open. Motorists should allow extra time for travel when using other bridges. You wont be the only one with this alternative idea!
BART Open 24 Hours a Day
BART will be open while the Bay Bridge is closed over Labor Day weekend. BART will run trains on a 24 hour basis beginning the night of Wednesday, August 28th until the night of Monday, September 2nd. BART resumes normal weekday service at about 4 am on Tuesday, September 3rd.
Bike to BART
Ride your bike to your local BART station and bring your bike with you on the train any time. From July 1, 2013 to December 1, 2013 commute period restrictions will be modified and bikes will be allowed on all trains and in all stations at all times. During commute hours, bikes are not allowed in the first three cars of any train.
Bike Shuttle Service
During the 2013 Bay Bridge closure, a special Bike Shuttle service will be offered from Thursday, August 29th through Monday, September 2nd. Click here for more details.
