Michelle Low, former Oakwood Global VP of Sales, Revenue and Distribution Rounds out Seasoned Leadership Team

Singapore, SG, January 11, 2022 — Synergy Global Housing (Synergy), a leader in serviced accommodation program management, announced renowned industry veteran, Michelle Low, joined the company as VP of Global Supply Chain. Low will be based out of Synergy’s Singapore office and report to President International, Stephen Hanton. She will continue the excellent progress made by Joan McCarthy Mack, who is taking up a new and exciting role within Synergy’s senior management team.

Michelle Low, VP of Global Supply Chain

“Michelle is one of the most respected operators in our sector and a force of nature that will help drive our international expansion”, said Hanton. “While we’re sorry to lose Joan (albeit not from the company), we’re absolutely delighted to welcome Michelle as we look to build teams that will drive the next generation of growth and believe she’ll play a leading role in that journey”.

Low began her career in hospitality at the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Singapore as a sales manager. She then held sales management titles at the Westin and Conrad Hotels and Resorts before transitioning to corporate housing and global mobility with senior leadership roles at Oakwood and Cartus. In her latest position with Oakwood, Low was responsible for setting global strategic direction in sales and revenue distribution at the corporate level.

“Throughout my industry experience, Synergy has delivered unique solutions, provided best-in-class customer service and overall, were great partners to collaborate with”, said Low. “Synergy is in a great position to continue to grow and expand, and I’m incredibly excited and honored to have the opportunity to work with the teams I have always respected—Henry, Jack, Stephen, Debra and the other leaders across the organization—to help its supply chain become the preeminent global platform”.

Following a careful and detailed succession plan set in place for all of Synergy’s executive leadership team, Low was the long-time preferred choice to take over Mack’s role. Her industry reputation, experience and skill set, coupled with her strategic, creative, dynamic and often inspirational approach to business, made her an optimal choice to lead Synergy’s growing worldwide network of 300+ stringently vetted supplier partners.

“We’ve had our eye on Michelle for quite some time as we believe there’s no one better to help us deepen our international mindset and capabilities while strengthening our supplier partner relationships globally”, said Hanton.

Low’s hire marks the fourth key executive appointment in recent months (VP of Marketing, Robin Spindel; Head of Information Technology, Lance Bradwell and Director of Development, EMEA, Nigel Carter) for the leading serviced accommodation program manager as it continues to scale its operations and revenue centers in key international markets.

“Michelle brings a strong acumen in both supply chain and sales for a region we’ve prioritized for growth to serve our multi-national clients better”, said President Debra Christopher. “She is so sharp and has a stellar industry reputation—I’m very excited to see her take the brilliant work Joan delivered in her short time and help Synergy become a true powerhouse around the world.”
