Santana Row’s popular fashion events return with two runway shows featuring the season’s best fashions for women and men. This year, Vernon Davis of the 49ers will make a special appearance on the catwalk as a celebrity model. Shows are scheduled 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and include poolside seating, access to the Beauty Lounge, pre-event champagne, wine and light hors d’oeuvres, a Passion for Fashion shopping card that entitles you to discounts around Santana Row and post-show parties.

Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. It is a day, a week, and in some areas a month marked with celebrations, guest speakers, picnics and family gatherings. Over the event’s 32-year lifespan, the Bay Area Juneteenth has averaged over 10,000 people with a wide range of local artists from Rap/Hip Hop to R&B, Gospel and Jazz. A wide variety of food, art work, retailers, community services and local business has always been a major drawing card for the event.

The cozy outdoor market takes places each Friday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM along a charming block of San Pedro Street. The market, featuring the fresh produce of more than 30 California-based growers, is produced in conjunction with Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association, celebrating its 25th year. This coming celebratory year, PCFMA’s markets will be filled with a variety of exciting events, including a special photo exhibition featuring the farmers who bring you fresh local produce.

Music in the Park with Grammy-winner Ozomatli – Friday, July 19th | St. James Park, North First & St. James Streets, San Jose, CA 95113

Music in the Park in St. James Park has produced 258 free shows featuring acts like Tower of Power, Smash Mouth, and Maroon 5. This year “We’re looking to bring back Music in the Park’s tradition of good times and great music,” said Blage Zelalich, deputy director, San Jose Downtown Association. “Ozomatli is the perfect band to continue this new model.” Ozomatli’s “Embrace the Chaos” won a Grammy Award in 2002 for best Latin Rock/Alternative Album. The Fountain Blues Festival started in 1981, boasting a laundry list of incredible acts like Etta James, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, and Canned Heat. This year, join headliner John Mayall, Ruthie Foster, Roy Rogers & the Delta Rhythm Kings, and Girls Got The Blues for this $15 event including food, arts, and business vendors.
